I get all those feelings! I was 58 when I started over, and I also remember the voice of God reminding me that he will never forsake me.

I don't know where he will finally lead, but it will be fabulous.

Thanks for writing about it

You've taken some major risks as well!

I can relate to so much of this! Life transitions can be humbling and terrifying, but also filled with unexpected blessings. Your words, especially "Love your people," really struck a chord with me. It’s such a grounding reminder to focus on what matters most.

I feel the same in many ways! 49 years old and started seminary last Fall and trying to find a new purpose and new vocation for my next chapter in life. I needed to change things up and pursue God’s calling in my life, which continues to unfold. Downsizing and moving at the end of this month from GA to TX to live in a fifth wheel RV where my husband will continue in his 31+ year Air Force career. I’m ready for new challenges and the blessings to come.

Started the bridge program for my doctor of pharmacy at 48. You definitely approach it with a different perspective, and that’s not all bad.

Yes, going to school at this age is a different experience! I actually love being a student.

I resonate with what you said about the back pain and the nervous system. A year into my program at Northern Seminary, and shortly after my mom's health declined steeply after a bout with cancer, I developed aggressive eczema. It's under control now, but our bodies definitely hold on to stress, even if our minds bury it.

Yes, eczema also can be in that neuroplasitic category. Stress and fear are so powerful.

Cheering you on in all of this! I can’t wait see more of Aimee emerge. The world needs you — every last wise bit of you!

It’s an interesting time of life to navigate through.

Love life’s hummingbird moments.

The world needs more mental health help for sure, it especially needs EMDR and brain spotting trauma therapists. Illness has dysregulated my nervous system, brain spotting brought me out of stuck in fight or flight in 1 session. What a relief it has been for me. May the Lord direct your steps.

I'm so happy to hear that you've found relief!

Love that you write real. So much of the details are echoed in my life, just up the bay a bit. Enjoy those pool parties!
